TacTasker

Accessible time management

TacTasker is a modular, magnetic phone attachment. It features a modular arrangement of "task" tiles designed for tactile satisfaction, and can slide to show if the task status. There is a window slit for easy tracking, and a double-sided layout for a notepad. TacTasker has since been released as a 3d printable resource, replicated and distributed to students across local campuses, and organizations through Disability Chats.

challenge

87% of college students say they would do better in school if they had better time management, and students with learning disabilities often need more structure. Additionally, 5% of students are tactile/kinesthetic learners, which is also the most preferred learning style among ESL students.

Our goal is to understand how our target audience feels, and create a solution with them that allows students to conceptualize their time to promote better time management habits.

How can we teach time management to high school or college students through tactile learning?
