challenge
Saturated with apps and to do lists, technology can play a role in feeling overwhelmed and overstimulated throughout the day.
Casting our minds back to the time of analog devices, we wanted to create a simple device for users to record personable and intentional reminders.
As part of the IDSA 2025 Makeathon: Designing for Immediate Impact, in collaboration with two Brown University students, we designed and pitched Memmin to a panel of judges in this competition, and won second place.
It's inspired by playful, interactive toys as kids—simple, tactile, and a nostalgic reminder of a more hands-on, less digital world.
Wouldn't it be great if we had physical solutions for digital problems?

why does this work? future implementations?
Memmin is easily flexible & adaptable to everyday phone usage.
It engages with several senses for a well-rounded, accessible, and haptic experience.
Memmin is also marketable to different demographics that struggle in our problem space.
Its key lies in that it is non-digital; separates you from your phone.

testimonial
“I love the powerful, tactile aspect of flipping over your phone, specifically the act of a physical thing pulling you out of a digital world.”
